Level 2 guidelines
Under Alert Level 2, your bar, cafe, restaurant or nightclub can only open if your primary purpose is to serve food (everyone must order a meal). This means meeting your duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA). You need to eliminate or mitigate the risks associated with work, including risks specifically related to COVID-19

- Limit bookings to no more than 10 individuals per group
- Ensure each group stays no longer than 2 hours
- Control the number of customers so they can all be seated, with each group of customers separated by at least 1 metre.
- Keep records of people that enter the premises.
- Ask customers to provide contact details on entry and keep workers’ records up-to-date.
- Take orders at the tables, and make sure only 1 worker serves a table if possible. Where practicable, the same server should serve the same section within each group.
- Keep your workers at least 1 metre from other workers, so far as is reasonably practicable.
- Make sure your workers limit their contact with customers. At times (such as when serving food) they will be in close proximity to customers. You need to think about using additional infectious disease control measures for this close proximity work, including personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow public health requirements on use of PPE and other COVID-19 controls.
- Use contactless payment methods, if possible.
- Use good hygiene practices, for example regularly disinfect tables, bar surfaces, etc.
- Make sure your workers use good hygiene practices and wash their hands regularly.
- Provide facilities for your workers and customers to wash their hands as needed.
- Adhere to hospitality guidelines around alcohol consumption.
We take the health and safety of our team and customers very seriously and have immediately implemented increased cleaning and sanitisation throughout our premises using hospital grade surface cleaner & sanitiser which is completed after each table leaves and at very regular intervals during the day, including but not limited to... Toilets, baby change facilities, kids play area including toys, all surfaces, kitchen area and bar area.
We have approved alcohol hand sanitiser at all payment stations and throughout our venue along with regularly disinfecting Eftpos terminals and points of sale. Paywave is also available at most stations.
